It’s a star life simulator, offering you a virtual life of a movie star (as the name assumes). Like in most games of this sort, you start with generating your character in the slightest details. Select the gender, the appearance, the outfits, the accessories, and all that characterizes you as a person. And then go out to conquer the studios.
Along with star career simulators, there are other ways to rise for a creative person. You can become a fashion designer and create clothes. You can star in movies. You can just attend parties and become a party animal. Anything goes!
As your star life establishes, you decorate your room and make it a place for fun. You buy pets and take care of them. And, of course, you make friends with those whose avatars and style you like… and who likes you as well.
Don’t worry about the dark side of the movie industry. It’s a family-oriented game, so everybody acts decently here. On the other hand, if you expected some vicious Hollywood chic, sorry, but these are not the parties you’re looking for.
It seems a star-colored life sim, something like Avakin Life, but there is one thing: you can actually make movies within the game! Of course, they will be animated, and it depends on you how rich they are in terms of actors, locations, stuff, and scene number. But you are, in fact, able to make a short movie that other users may like. And if they do, you’ll be rewarded.
There is a simple movie master, with backgrounds you can select for any scene, and outfits and items you can take from your storage. This section also shows you the best movies by other users. So, the name is not about high life only; there is at least something about the actual movie production and actors’ work.
Other built-in editors let you create artbooks, photos, and other content you will need to become a star. Thus, you learn that being a star requires hard work, anyway.
Luxury Can’t Be for Free
Though the game is free-to-play, you already know what it means (in fact, that every little thing except for the app itself is paid). There are in-game coins that everything is bought for. New outfits and furniture, pets and items for them, holiday decorations and new animations and stickers for your movies – they are mostly paid.
It’s great that the game is family-oriented. That also means that parents can limit the expenses, so their kids don’t spend too much on the game. It’s different, though, if you earn enough to buy whatever content you want; but there is much content, so its cost is enough to start a real-life Hollywood career.
